Every person has a terrific story about their personal hero. You can learn a lot about someone by asking this question. When we shot these videos, this was the single question that generated the most heartfelt response. So tell me, who is YOUR hero??

This question always makes me think of my mom and dad. For different reasons, I admire where they came from, what they achieved, and who I know they're capable of becoming.

They both have strengths and weaknesses that endear me to their individual, humanistic perspectives.

And yet, they're not the hero that my heart esteems.

His name was Hasan and he was my dear friend and the most beautiful soul that I've been lucky enough to meet. He drowned a few years ago, and I know that I'm not romanticizing his death, he was simply awesome to behold because he had this uncanny ability to raise everyone's feel-good vibes with just a look in his eyes.

And I always looked at him with the eyes of a little kid like, "I wanna be like that when I grow up." Simply incredible energy that shot out like the rays of a brilliant sun from his artwork.

So much so, that I don't think he drowned, I think he got baptized in the sea. I think his soul was so magnificent that his body couldn't contain all his wonderfulness and so he was liberated--so that I and everyone else he touched could celebrate his life in newfound ways.

He's not only my hero, he's my very first Angel and spiritual mentor.

No more samsara for him, I'd imagine, but who knows.

I love to see the look in people's eyes when they speak of their hero...the admiration and gratitude shine.

You are someone's hero too.

Think of the lives you've touched, the small acts of kindness, the mercy and forgiveness you've extended, the giggles and hugs you've given.

All those little acts are heroic. A lifetime of those little acts creates a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

Shine on!

Love and blessings,
Lynne
