Natural foods chef and holistic health counselor Andrea Beaman shares a nutritious pear dessert recipe that will make you forget about candy bars. ("Daily Dish")
I tried this and it really works. It's just as easy as Andrea says. Try it, you'll love it.
I put the twizzlers down and am going to try this tonight.
With the Holidays sneaking up on us...any advice for eating health and wise.
Yes, there are so many ways to eat healthfully around the holidays. The first thing... buy the best quality ingredients. That means organically grown and naturally raised. You are what you eat. If you are eating food that is doused with chemicals and pesticides, your body will become a chemical wasteland! Egads! Not wise. Clean, natural food will give your body the nutrition it needs without the toxic overdose.
The second thing you can do is get into the kitchen cook some of the delicious recipes that are airing on Peoplejam. Brought to you by your favorite healthy chef (me!), Andrea Beaman. Now... get into the kitchen and cook up a delicious meal!
Andrea, keep them coming! LOVE your recipes - and love even more that you SHOW us via video exactly how easy it is to make. Thank you!
Hi Linda,
Thanks! I'm happy you enjoy the cooking videos - there's much more delicious and fun food on the way.
Thank you for the receipes. I am trying to wean myself off of chocolate and have recently bought a bag of vegan carob chips.....any recipes you can offer with carob? If you have a fat-free, sugar free, gluten free carob brownie recipe, I will be in heaven.
A fat-free, sugar free, gluten free carob brownie recipe, is a tall order. But, I do have a brown rice crispy treat recipe that will surely whet your whistle.
Brown Rice Crispy Treats
2 cups brown rice crispy cereal
1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter
1/2 cup brown rice syrup
1/4 cup carob chips
Put rice crispy cereal into a mixing bowl. On a low heat cook almond butter and rice syrup until creamy. Pour over cereal and coat evenly. Add carob chips. Press the mixture into a baking pan or casserole dish and let set in the refrigerator.
