Eight-time NBA All-Star Vince Carter talks about being a champion and the best advice he ever received from a coach.
I have been a vince carter fan for a long time. He always had a bad rap though for forcing a trade and saying publicly he did not try every play. He seems like a very different person in an interview. I forgot that he gave up his starting spot to MJ, very classy.
Interesting that the best advice he ever received from a coach was, "Be a good person first". Most championship teams have several great personalities. Great coaches cultivate them.
Its amazing to see a pro-athlete talk about life off the court. Its easy to follow the media and make assumptions, however, this interview shows that he is a real person.
