Once again, I disagree with this. The difference in men and women is purely socialization, when it comes to communication. This book is helpful for now, but it's very much not helpful if you're looking to overcome socialization and, say, teach your children to communicate effectively not based on their gender.

Sorry, but this review really did not tell me anything about the book and what its main points are. I also agree with the reviewer the_wanlorn when she/he says "The difference in men and women is purely socialization, when it comes to communication."

I've heard so much good things about this book but never really got around to reading it. Bridget, you do make me want to read this book. Although I have a great relationship with my husband, there are times when we don't seem to communicate well and there are frustrations. Communication is definitely a key to marriage, and it requres both parties to make the effort.

I've never found the ideas in that book to be true, except where people want it to be true. If you're not great with relationships, it's easy to just chalk it up to some enormous differences.
