If you're ever out of a job, unemployment can be a life saver, but there are certain things you should know before you take it easy and treat it like a vacation. With the help of great tips from the blog post "Speed Hunting: Unemployment for the Single Guy" by PeopleJam member NSchulman24, host Bridget McManus gives fantastic advice for anyone who is out of a job.
In this episode:
Its hard to concentrate because she is so funny. makes sence, though, cause its tempting to sleep all day when we are out of work!
I agree with this video 100%. Not only are her tips helpful, but they are definately true. People think that it's the end of the world, when they lose their job. And, it does suck. But, Bridget gives you helpful tips from some pretty awesome blogs, that help you pull yourself back togther and learn to make the best of it.
"Get another job, it's better than having no job at all." -- FACT.
love Bridget she is so hot and funny!plus she gives great tips :]
That was very motivating, Bridget. I will keep that in mind if, god forbid I find myself unemployed. It happened to me in 2001 and I had to take a job at Panera to make a little money while looking for a professional job. You do what you have to do and there's no shame in that. Plus, I learned a lot about how hard it is to be on your feet serving people all day. Not an easy life.
Bridget is way too cute. I know she's giving good information and all but I just like looking at her.
"speaking of sucking...suck it up!" Good job Bridget. See you tomorrow.
Great tips Bridget, yes losing a job is no excuse to sit on your ass all day and drink beer. It's better to search all job sites, and if possible ask your friends for a recommendation.
great topic in light of the economy lately. I myself went through the trials of unemployment, and it is very tricky. You have to be on top of it, and NOT treat it like a vacation like she says.
