It's so awkward to ask for a raise. I've always just transitioned jobs on the same level and haven't really moved up in a company. I also like to move a lot so maybe that also has something to do with it. Thanks Bridget whenever I settle down at a place where the boss and coworkers don't suck I'll make sure to ask for a raise regulary,

I nead a 30,000$ rear, please.
I wish I'd see this a long time ago, when I neaded it. I did get the raise when I asked for it but I was so unprepered and it was horrible.

I think this issue is one that most people are afraid of - if they aren't getting the raises they feel they deserve, how do they go about asking for it? Bridget answered all those questions, and I especially liked the emphasis on knowing WHY you deserve the raise. If you can't show that you're confident that you deserve the raise by listing specific reasons, they're not going to give it to you. This will definitely come in handy!

Making a list of good attributes and coming to your boss with confidence is a great way to ask!

Think there are some good tips. It sounds simple, but there's alot of thought that needs to go into this.

I liked how you showed the check list of the "to-do's" on asking for a raise. Not the easiest of subjects to tackle, but a great one to bring up. thanks.
