I love target, and all of my clothes last a long time there, and they have beautiful clothes at really great prices, their sales are amazing!! I do not own designer clothes but i do own designer bags and sunglasses. At this point in my life I wouldn't buy designer clothes but in the future when I have more money and a career then I might consider it.

Great topic for today's video! We all like to have designer things, but that doesn't mean they have to come from the designer store itself. My mom taught me how to find designer clothes for cheap growing up, and I still do it today. Shop the outlets if you have one near you. The outlets near me almost always have stuff from the current season, and it's marked lower than the prices at the malls. I love the thrift shop idea - those places can be full of bargains if you find the right spot. One great idea they didn't mention in the video is garage sales. Go to a high-end neighborhood in your area (Mom and I did this all the time growing up). They almost always have designer clothes, or even home goods, that have barely been worn, for like a dollar! Great video - we all need to live more frugally, but that doesn't mean we can't look great while doing it!

I was so interested after reading the title. To tell you the truth, I'm a little disappointed with some advice. For example, I had a bad experience buying designer on ebay. However, during these financial economic times, I agree that we should not be prideful and totally reject the idea of buying clothes that have been worn before. There are stores that buy and sell great looking, second-hand clothes. The bottom line: we need to save money!

thrift stores are THE way to go. i have picked up plenty of designer duds, and resold them at MINT prices!

Now you're talking, girl! I do all my shopping at the thrift stores and find designer goods at down and dirty prices. Not just clothes, though - furniture, appliances, whatever - check out the thrift stores.

Thrift Stores are GREAT!!!!!!! I have found so many great deals (lots of them expensive name brands) and when I wear them you would never know that they came from the thrift store.

Great tips. I love shopping at thrift stores. I am not sure if it is just my internet or if all the added in photos slowed it down. Fairly enjoyable except for the lag.

welcome back Bridge. 8-)

If you must buy designer/expensive pieces, buy the ones with classic cuts so you can wear them for extended periods of time.

P.S. welcome back Bridget!
