VERY informative! As someone who is trying to be more and more healthy with their diet every day, this is a good video. I do have to say that everything in moderation is a good motto. You can't give up ALL of the bad stuff or you will miss out on some of the spice of life.

I'd recommend this to anyone who needs ideas kicking the bad foods out of their fridge ^_^
I'm with Cole also, everything in moderation so you don't miss out on some of that spice of life. Can't get more educational than that. Keep it up.

Excellent video. I agree about the soda and donuts! What a difference it makes to just stop buying that stuff. Now if I want cookies, I'll make them myself, enjoy and savor a few and be done for awhile. The processed foods don't taste as well anyway.

That was great - and whole grain foods are really very similar to white flour foods a lot of the time. Pasta tastes the same to me, just look for "whole grain" and it's so much healthier! Thanks Bridget, great as always!

I swear, Bridget is the best internet video blog hostess dancer! Anyways, I always love food, so I always like it when videos are about food. Anyways, there's good fat and bad fat. There's good carbs and bad carbs. Basically, the whole point is to cook from scratch and not cut corners (dining out, fast food, frozen food, etc). That's the best way to eat healthy.

I'm very happy to hear that some fat is better than no fat!

Did not like the intro; with all due respect, it was corny. I paid more attention when they actually got to things you should have and not have in your house for eating healthy. Good info once we got there!

This video really helped answer some questions for me. I have a question though. I am allergic to gluten. Do some breads and pasta have more gluten than others. Are there gluten free whole grain breads available?

Common sense rears its ugly head again, darnit! Moderation turns out to be the best course of action. I've had great luck watching carbs to keep my weight down, but knowing which is good and which is bad can be tricky. Thanks for shedding some light.

Life is too short, eat EVERYTHING you want...but as Bridget said, everything in MODERATION ;)

This helps. I should know good carbs from bad carbs by now, but I still need it drilled in, apparently!

Very helpful!!!! It is the application of the knowledge I have trouble with .

Loved it. Thanks for the tips.

Very helpful I agree! I throw out some stuff in my fridge. I have to start all over.

we have been definitely trying to get more whole foods, and less processed... great info! natural fats are better than fake ones...

A video about food is my kind of video. It's a relief to hear that that it's better to eat foods with fat, then foods that are fat-free. I like the real thing, anyway. I've always had trouble trying to figure out what was good fats and what was bad fats. Thanks to this video, I've got it pretty much figured out. I have a lot of bad things in my fridge, and I refuse to get rid of any of them.

:-( Too bad this vetoes out Soda.. I love Sodas and want to diet but stay on sodas.. what else can I get rid of ?

This is good stuff! Makes much more sense to say we can't cut out refined products completely, but can have them in bits. That's important for us who can't live without them!

Saving paper by reusing cue cards... hilarious. I like these episodes with the experts and Susan was a good one. I recommend this one to anyone because you can't hear this type of advice enough. On Oprah, Dr. Oz had very similar recommendations on types of food to avoid and the results were insane on the before and after shots. Everything in moderation, whole grains are good, etc. Fantastic!

"Everything in moderation" is a great motto to go by when planning meals and choosing foods to eat. I don't know if I can do without my milk and cookies though... Very informative post - great job!

I've heard that peanuts and nuts are really great for you and to eat them on a diet, but in this episode Susan explains that it's only good to eat minimal amounts of them, here I am loading up on them.
