Adoreable. I loved it. Thanks Bridget!

ganeshs's picture

It is awesome and so funny Bridget. If you want to lose weight vegetarian food always helps. But I love meat.I shall eat lots of vegetarian and little meat hereafter.

chipt4's picture

Haha, run bunny! From the sounds of it, the reviewer that called the authors self righteous were right. To say that the Atkins diet doesn't make you lose weight at all is a gross generalization. I know people who have lost weight with it. Certain diets work for certain people, that's how it is, don't go around spreading non-truths. But thanks for your unbiased meta-review, B.

singswithlove's picture

I didn't really get a point to this video. It spoke of the book, but nothing seemed to be eye-catching or relevant to the books content. I'd like to have learned more about the content of the book, perhaps some chapter titles, some good points...if any.

Taimoor's picture

i realy like the concept of vedio, althought its semz to be childish that what i like.i like that when the JAM is goin in the bottel.

smojica's picture

Great attitude! Also this applies to me because I'm trying to become a vegetarian.

Tetramobile's picture

Yeah. If you eat meat, don't be surprised that a vegan book isn't all about that, lol. That's what they do. They don't eat meat.

lucykenin's picture

That is so much common sense! A vegan book obviously isn't going to promote eating a nice juicy steak!

cutie01's picture

Maybe I should quit eating meat so I can be a skinny bitch! very funny!

Mr. Motivated's picture

Although I think the video had a bit of humor and potential to be helpful, I don't recommend it because the host didn't read the book. I also didn't like the technique of singling out a user of the site to disagree with them. I do however, agree with the statement that soda is the liquid Satan!

moltobella4's picture

Hey, I'm a meat eater and a skinny bitch. Go figure? Funny take on the book, you are right people will see the cute cover and not bother to read and find out what it is about and then get insulted. Good clarification.

Meat is not necessary at all! We as a society are told far too much that we need PROTEIN and MEAT. It's just not true. Now if you like meat, I totally understand. But, it's not crucial to any diet. There is so much protein in nuts, beans, many vegetables, whole grains, brown rice, etc. etc. For a normal sized woman of 130lbs or so, she only needs about 50 grams of protein. It adds up if you eat well rounded (and yes, without meat).

efish's picture

I could never go without meat, but this was really funny!

gautham28880's picture

meat is also part of a good diet all depends on what you eat

divarach's picture

I've read the book, it's fabulous. You need to read it, Bridgette. You are hysterical!!

phoebe1975's picture

I love Bridget! I have to agree with most of the comments. The bottom line is that a diet based on red meat just isn't healthy.

indhus's picture

This is a hilarious video.women want to live healthy and at the same time with slim bodies.Dieting has become a big fashion among women all over the world. Moreover care should be taken while choosing a diet program because each body is different.

littlemissgibson's picture

Well this book is not going to be for me because I love meat! Sorry animals =( But yes, I agree that skinny is NOT always healthy!!

misaspeakn's picture

I dont know if i could become a vegetarian, i love veggies but i love meat too. And when i'm eating meat i do think about the animals that have been sacrificed for us to be able to eat that meat, but we do need protein (meat) to survive, and I dont know if I could survive for myself by just eating veggies

1CrazyDJ's picture

I thought the video was ok, it had some funny parts but nothing great. Also I don't necessarily agree with veggie only part but to each his own.

jdotagain's picture

if you are thinking about making the big switch, this video is a must see!

VineLikeMine's picture

A friend mentioned this book a few months ago and seemed to really like it. I'm not vegan, so I am not sure that I could be fully satisfied with the suggestions that this book had to offer me personally. This video is great because it addresses this book in a new light on some issues that seemed to have been the source of heated dispute over this book.

SierraD's picture

She is so funny. "Look out for the meat eaters" I think I may have to get this book even though I'm still eating meat ;)

ba.antkowiak's picture

I haven't liked your other episodes, but I loved this one. I felt like you hit the nail on the head when you said that its stupid for people to get mad about the book being vegetarian! duh.. :)

shaddad81's picture

Dude...I agree, if you don't support a vegan lifestyle don't read the book! I haven't totally embraced vegetarianism yet, but I did read this book and I thought it was realistic and it really did make me think about what I eat!

blueeyes21's picture

Wow, I actually had heard of the book Skinny, Bitches and had NO clue until now that it was a vegan book. Glad I learned something...

cocokid's picture

I never read this book but I did almost read it. I'm not fat, but I'm not a skinny bitch and I want to be! When I read the back of the book I thought "hmmm, Maybe I want to be skinny without being a bitch" and that was not what I got from the back of the book. It seemed like the writers put an emphasis on the bitch part and I'd rather be chubby and happy than skinny and bitchy. I guess the moral of the story is that just because you want to lose weight doesn't mean you have to read every book about it and if you see that you won't like the personalities of the writers then buy a different book that isn't written by bitches.

ASHAAN's picture

I did read the book and even reviewed it on Peoplejam. So glad it wasnt me Bridget decided to cut apart :-p

Mr. Knowitall's picture

The most important thing about getting healthy is to work towards healthfulness as a goal. If you're drinking soda and eating meat, you might thank that's moral, but you're not doing yourself any favors. Don't blame two admittedly self-righteous women for being right.

TehVixen's picture

Reading the title of this video, I knew it was something I had to watch. Bridget, I have no problem being a bitch either. I agree with this blog. Being skinny doesn't make you healthy or happy, for that matter. Diet seekers like advice on how to lose weight, not to find someone preach about how they're diet is better than the rest. Everyone's bodies are different, and to each his own. I found that regular old eating healthy and good exercise does wonders.

nicole_72576's picture

Absolutely funny Bridget. I do not think that book is for me. But soda is horrible for you and I do believe in it being liquid satan.

goddess's picture

This book definitely isn't for me, I like my meat!! But I do agree about soda being the liquid satan... I know too many people who are just completely addicted to it, especially the diet soda!! Nice episode Bridget!

zoesmomknits's picture

the opening was pretty classic. i've really wanted to read this book, so getting the review first is great! i had no idea it was a vegan book, and i'm really interested in reading it now.

indrapramit's picture

A good review of the book. It was pretty hilarious. Although personally I would hate to be a vegetarian, but i do respect people who are.

Gabester's picture

WOW that was funny. i loved he part with the bunny.

Gabester's picture

WOW that was funny. i loved he part with the bunny.

missfunkadilly's picture

Well they book isn't for me, but Bridget is still funny and being vegan is definitely a great way to lose weight. I just love meat too much. Haha I like the "Soda is liquid satan" comment. I myself hate soda, but not because of the calories, because I hate carbonation.

dukedogpuppy's picture

Bridget, you are funny! I think this is a great video, watch out for the meat eaters!

flconner's picture

Wow! Not only is this funny but it makes you look at things a little different. Thanks!

Anonymous's picture

I haven't read this book but now I'm going to check it out.

sfleming's picture

The book is great!!!!

MattS's picture

This episode is funny, but I wouldn't recommend it as Bridget herself said she hasn't read the book. Commenting on something you haven't read seems inappropriate.

phatpink's picture

Well I am a first time poster to this site, and I am glad that this is the first video I chose to watch and comment on. I am a proud meat eater. If you want to be a veggie eater and that is all you want to eat then you are missing out on some good beef my friend. So with that said I'm going go eat a a pork chop smothered in gravy with some rice.

Spaceboy's picture

OMG I loved this episode! I haven't read the book, but it totally makes sense what was said - If you're a meat eater, and this book is promoting veganism - don't read it. Simple. Oh, and I happen to think soda is the devil- so much unneeded sugar and calories. Yikes.

ccryder1968's picture

Bridget has an interesting point of view on the book. I wish she could have made her commentary a little longer, but I liked what was there.

ninedosus's picture

That's an important point, that skinny doesn't equal healthy. And it seems there's more a focus on vegan as a means to weight loss, instead of actual health.

merriweatherblue's picture

Awesome. The main problem, I think, with these veggie women is that most of them try to evangelize everyone else to their way of thinking and turn up their nose at anyone who's different. It's a free country. Let people eat the way they want to. Personally, I eat meat AND veggies. :)

jexa84's picture

Great vid, very thought provoking. I thought her take on the whole 'if its not for you dont read it' thing was great! I wish more people would take on that attitude. Think how much more peaceful society would be.

alexnick's picture

Bridget, although this is my first ep of The Jam, I'm glad it is! I enjoyed the quick summary on the book that I have pondered reading (although probably won't!) Your style in talking about the book was both cute and funny, keep it up :)

jo1999's picture

If I gave up meat I really would be a skinny B! humm..I guess that would be better than a fat B....hummm..
