If you've been thinking about making a switch from being a meat-eater to be a full-blown veggie, then check out host Bridget McManus's book review of "Skinny Bitch," written by Kim Barnouin and Rory Freedman. This book gives readers -- and now viewers -- tart-tongued, no-holds-barred advice to women who want to live a healthy, meatless lifestyle.
In this episode:
"Look out for the meat eaters!!!!" :D
That book is not for me.
But bitches are!....
look out for the meat eaters RUN! haha!
BRidget is so funny and adorable. did I mention she's funny?
Bridget, I can't believe you are reviewing a book you haven't even read! But I'll give you a pass since you are a vegetarian and you'd probably agree with what they say in the book anyway. Plus, you're funny and hot.
Save trees/plants, eat meat! hahaha ;)
Bridget! You told Betty Degeneres you would read this book, and you didn't get around to it? Shame on you!
I love Bridget! I don't eat meat either meat is really bad for ones digestion. There are studies that show how humans are supposed to be herbivores. And milk is bad for us too.
I like that Bridget is not afraid to disagree with other people's opinions. It is a little scary that she is reviewing stuff without having read it, though. And I want to drink soda! It has nothing to do with Satan!
Skinny bitches- nay be a great and useful book looking at the topic covered in the book. Like other herbivore mammals in our planet , we are also designed to eat vegetarian food. I really enjoyed Bridget review of this book.I think this book may be a great helpful to house wifes.
Oh no! I can't imagine living in this world without eating meat! I respect everyone who decide to be a vegan or vegetarian, but I personally can't do it. It's a great title of a book (would love to be skinny), but I guess it's not for me. Bridget, you did a very good review of the book though.
I think you should really read a book before attempting a review of it but nonetheless the video was cool. I am a meat eater but to each his own. I have tried vegetarian and couldn't stick to it...lol. Great video.
I eat meat. I love meat, it's tasty. Still, I think this was a pretty decent video. The editing was quite humorous, and you made some great points, so I would definately recommend this. Just want to point out though, that meat doesn't make you fat. Too much meat makes you fat, same with cake, carrots, ect.
This book isnt for me. But I like the style of the video. And this kept me entertained atleast, and that isnt easy since im A.d.d. :)
Silly girl Meat is for ummmm killers, Right? I am from deer hunting family so I have grown up around slain animals in the south. It is very sad. I honestly think that we would all be healthier mentally and physically without eating little creatures of the world.
a delightful way of reviewing a book! very animated! not to mention informative...as she said, not for the meat-eaters!!!
This was cute. I have seen this book and it does have an attitude, but Bridget hit the nail on the head!
Hehe.. Brigdet is to freakin funny! Now I have a craving for bunny stew or some other kind of road kill. Must eat meat!
"Thin does not make you healthy."
Story of my LIFE. People cannot be told this enough. And any non-serious reference to Milkshake'll always make me laugh.
Even though, I myself, am a meat-eater, Bridget did a great job and was pretty funny while making it clear what this book was really about. I loved it!
I like the quick synopsis of the book to give me an idea if I want to buy it. Bridget seems more genuine in this episode than others. Not as exaggerated and it's refreshing to me.
I completely agree. I have not read this book but I have seen some of the haters ragging on it. Its like, read the back or insert of the book before you buy it! I do have to say though, that the title and cover are misleading or leave stuff out. It should be obvious by the cover that its a vegan/vegetarian based book. But really, these people who are complaining about it have no one to blame but themselves.
Haha, I'd probably get confused and buy the book too. I've always wanted a real "how-to" guide on how to be a skinny bitch...
But a book about a vegan lifestyle... nah... now please pass the steak...
If I gave up meat I really would be a skinny B! humm..I guess that would be better than a fat B....hummm..
Bridget, although this is my first ep of The Jam, I'm glad it is! I enjoyed the quick summary on the book that I have pondered reading (although probably won't!) Your style in talking about the book was both cute and funny, keep it up :)
Great vid, very thought provoking. I thought her take on the whole 'if its not for you dont read it' thing was great! I wish more people would take on that attitude. Think how much more peaceful society would be.
Awesome. The main problem, I think, with these veggie women is that most of them try to evangelize everyone else to their way of thinking and turn up their nose at anyone who's different. It's a free country. Let people eat the way they want to. Personally, I eat meat AND veggies. :)
That's an important point, that skinny doesn't equal healthy. And it seems there's more a focus on vegan as a means to weight loss, instead of actual health.
Bridget has an interesting point of view on the book. I wish she could have made her commentary a little longer, but I liked what was there.
OMG I loved this episode! I haven't read the book, but it totally makes sense what was said - If you're a meat eater, and this book is promoting veganism - don't read it. Simple. Oh, and I happen to think soda is the devil- so much unneeded sugar and calories. Yikes.
Well I am a first time poster to this site, and I am glad that this is the first video I chose to watch and comment on. I am a proud meat eater. If you want to be a veggie eater and that is all you want to eat then you are missing out on some good beef my friend. So with that said I'm going go eat a a pork chop smothered in gravy with some rice.
This episode is funny, but I wouldn't recommend it as Bridget herself said she hasn't read the book. Commenting on something you haven't read seems inappropriate.
I haven't read this book but now I'm going to check it out.
Well they book isn't for me, but Bridget is still funny and being vegan is definitely a great way to lose weight. I just love meat too much. Haha I like the "Soda is liquid satan" comment. I myself hate soda, but not because of the calories, because I hate carbonation.
A good review of the book. It was pretty hilarious. Although personally I would hate to be a vegetarian, but i do respect people who are.
the opening was pretty classic. i've really wanted to read this book, so getting the review first is great! i had no idea it was a vegan book, and i'm really interested in reading it now.
This book definitely isn't for me, I like my meat!! But I do agree about soda being the liquid satan... I know too many people who are just completely addicted to it, especially the diet soda!! Nice episode Bridget!
Absolutely funny Bridget. I do not think that book is for me. But soda is horrible for you and I do believe in it being liquid satan.
Reading the title of this video, I knew it was something I had to watch. Bridget, I have no problem being a bitch either. I agree with this blog. Being skinny doesn't make you healthy or happy, for that matter. Diet seekers like advice on how to lose weight, not to find someone preach about how they're diet is better than the rest. Everyone's bodies are different, and to each his own. I found that regular old eating healthy and good exercise does wonders.
The most important thing about getting healthy is to work towards healthfulness as a goal. If you're drinking soda and eating meat, you might thank that's moral, but you're not doing yourself any favors. Don't blame two admittedly self-righteous women for being right.
I did read the book and even reviewed it on Peoplejam. So glad it wasnt me Bridget decided to cut apart :-p
