In this episode, host Bridget McManus discusses two aspects when it comes to a job: interviewing and quitting. From PeopleJam member NSchulman24's blog post "Tips for Quitting a Job Gracefully," Bridget gives six great tips that will help you when you're ready to move on. And if you're stuck interviewing for a job you just don't want, Bridget also gives tips on how to blow a job interview, thanks to PeopleJam member Apryl.
In this episode:
i agree!...do not burn bridges in terms of your career/job (unless, it was something illegal... ;p )
A +++ Bridget!
I love these tips! Excellent advice, Bridget. I'll be sure to follow your tips when I next quit a job. :)
Haha! I would hate a "crappy" job that has anything to do with elephant poop. In all seriousness, great tips! These are very necessary and so many people don't really think much through it before they start talking to their boss about quitting. The advices about quitting are much better than the advices about blowing an interview. I think we all know how to blow an interview, but we definitely don't know how to quit gracefully.
I have quit very few jobs but always on bad terms as I always wait until its so bad I can't hold my tongue. This is a good video. I think it will help me in the future. Good ideas!! By the way, "Office Space" is one of my all-time favorite movies!
