In this book review episode, host Bridget McManus goes deep into the mind with the help from Tony Buzan's "The Mind Map Book." You will learn how to use radiant thinking to maximize your brain's potential as well as using visual instruments to open your mind. Bridget even gets gutsy as she tries to open her own mind!
In this episode:
Bridget=HOT!
The book sounds interesting too.
I think I only use about 1% so that's my brain's ass kicked ... better read that book.
i heart bridget <3
Bridget Mcmanus is so damn sexy!!!
B - Good job.
I'm definitely buying the book if Bridget comes with it! Loved the hammer bit at the end.
hehehe.
The first episodes were kind of lame. But now it seems like they let Bridget do "her thing" - 100% better !!
Bridget, you're crazy and I heart you for this!
PS: Use your brainparts, people :)
Actually the "people only use 10% of their brains" platitude is pure bullshit. http://www.snopes.com/science/stats/10percent.asp http://www.csicop.org/si/9903/ten-percent-myth.html
If the author isn't aware of that, then I can't imagine his book is based on any actual science. I haven't read it, but the blurb certainly makes it sound like new-agey pseudo-science. It doesn't look like he has any background in the sciences whatsoever, according to wikipedia, let alone a background in neuroscience. I think I'll stick with actual experts when it comes to something as important as my brain...
Go Bridget! You totally kick ass!
brainparts!
I love the Mind Map book, and I love Bridget's review of it. The platitude about using 10% of the brain may be "bullshit" but the ide behind it still stands. You can use more of your brain!
I wrote a comment on a article about this book and wanted to know more about it. I'm so glad you did a review on this, although you really didn't address much about what the book is about! You are so funny! I'm sure you use more than 2% =). Sometimes I feel like I don't even use that much.
This review sounds like she just read the back of the book. I hate to say that, as I really enjoy these shows. But she just keeps saying how she doesn't get it rather than talking about the book. Sorry!
I didn't necessarily learn anything from this book review, although IMHO reading and learning is the best way to expand the mind. I'll forego the hammer and screwdriver :)
