Nothing says extreme more than someone telling it like it is regardless of the consequences, and no other approach gets better results. Laurie A. Santos, CEO of Extreme Dream Coaching and Training, published author, and professional speaker, is known for her somewhat sassy, no-nonsense, hit-the-ground-running, run-toward-your-fear approach. Recognizing that honesty and commitment to action are the two must-haves for success, she has created a 4-Step Extreme Dream Program guaranteed to help people create a life they love.

Laurie helps professionals in every industry discover their extreme dream and go after it, and keep going after it, even when life deals out difficult circumstances. Encouraging her clients to use their fear as fuel and turn their obstacles into opportunities, she enables them to break through old ways of thinking and acting and create habits of mind and body that will ensure their success. The combination of her extreme dream principles, life coaching methods, "The Work" techniques, Universal Laws, and her extreme personality makes her a coach like no other!

With a Master in Administration of Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology, 10 years of experience with the most dangerous and cunning of criminals, and two Life Coach certifications (The Coaches Training Institute and The Coaches Training Alliance), Laurie has a deep understanding of human behavior and knows how to support any personality in any environment. As a federal officer and liaison to federal judges, she saw every day the truth that people are hindered only by the stories they create (and stick to) in their own minds, and that change is just a matter of facing fears and altering habits.

Before committing to full-time work as Chief Extreme Officer of Extreme Dream Training and Coaching, she pursued her own extreme dream and moved to Spain to volunteer in a small government-owned radio station where she wrote and recorded tag lines and commercials and conducted interviews in both Spanish and English for six months.

Today, Laurie coaches full-time and conducts seminars on how to deliberately create and live out one's dreams. She inspires executives, salespeople, speakers, and others to overcome their greatest fears and live a life that inspires them.Her speaking topics include, The Power of Embracing Risk;Designing a Coaching Culture in Any Organization; and The Extreme Dream: The Greatest Game Ever Lived.   • Sometimes Life Doesn't Happen The Way We Want

    Last year, I quit my full-time job, closed down my coaching practice, rented out my condo to incredible tenants and moved to Europe to explore my extreme dream of moving to Spain and Portugal. Life had taken an incredible turn for me when I designed this new path of deliberate creation and flow. It seemed nothing could go wrong.

  • I Swear I Was Asked to Tell You About Ear Coning

    You know the funny thing? I had no idea what was really being done other than a "cone" is inserted into the ear and then the smoke, the flame flickering off the wall and the crackle sound appearing in my ear. Several years ago, I heard about this incredible practice but I never tried it out. I had even heard it was possible to buy the cones at Whole Foods and do it at home. Some years ago, I went to the Whole Foods nearest my home when I was still living in the Bay Area and they said they stopped selling the packages...hmmm, guess it was a fire hazard.

  • How Often Are You Really Having Fun?

    1:50 a.m. and I am blogging on peoplejam on a Saturday night. Boy, does that say a lot about me or what? Actually, I just got back from Santa Monica after celebrating a night of Mojitos, good food, and my ultimate favorite: Salsa Dancing. But, the truth is, I haven't been having any fun lately and the worst part of it...I had no idea!

  • I Suck At Meditation...or So I thought

    "Focus on your breathing," they all say. Man, hearing those words just used to drive me nuts! I mean, I had the sincere desire to meditate but for some reason an itch here, a loud noise there, and I was completely done with the meditation. I really thought I was a lost cause. "All the 'gurus' are doing it, so I should be doing it, too," have been my thoughts for years. "If they can do it, so can I..."but for me it really has not been that easy; until this weekend.

  • 21 Days to Build a Strong Habit

    This is my 4th day of successful blogging on this site, I believe. I've started blogs elsewhere but after about a week or so, I fall prey to other social networking sites and well, just plain ol' keeping up with business. but, this time around, I vowed I would make it a good "go" here at peoplejam. You know how they say it takes 21 days to break a habit and 21 days to create one; well, that's what I am aiming for here. So, I am calling on you fellow peoplejammers to hold me accountable.

  • Never Abandon Your Extreme Dream

    There I stood yesterday at my fax machine with my heart in my throat. It was 8 a.m. and wow,what a way to start my morning. I had filled out the paperwork over a week ago yet I couldn't bring myself to fax it in; I just wasn't ready. Several conversations with friends, coaches, the Universe, and my success teams proved to be in support of what I was contemplating doing yet I just couldn't break through my conditioned mind. Faxing in the form to withdraw my retirement was one of the scariest things I was considering.

    A beautiful drive to San Diego from Los Angeles yesterday put me in the mood I was aiming to have. The greenery along side the freeway, the ocean, the sun on my left, the moon still hanging low in the sky on my right, all were staring me in the face reminding me of why we're here.
