Experience
I believe that faith is an ongoing process of longing, wondering and even doubting. Each of us has our own journey, made even more wondrous when we share it with others.
What do you long for? What do you wonder? What do you question? Is your searching solitary or communal?
In working with people of faith over the last few years, I have noticed that doubting one’s own beliefs is a nearly universal struggle. The struggle seems to diminish as we allow room for our fear and doubts. In fact, the doubt has a way of making faith stronger, more resilient.
Our beliefs and attitudes have the power to shape our entire experience, so it is important to know what our beliefs are. And as life unfolds before us, we hunger more and more for a life that is meaningful, and for experiences that are significant.
I have been working as a coach since 1999. I think the part of coaching I enjoy most is that exploration of beliefs—the subtle discovery of what we think our experiences mean. Surely, goals are met, objectives achieved. But it is the process of self-discovery that I find most rewarding in the work.
I believe coaching is an ideal vehicle for boosting the role of creativity and learning in one's life. It creates shifts in perception that allow people to overcome obstacles and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
And I believe that the “secret” to coaching—and to all relationships—is the unwavering belief that every human being is magnificent beyond anyone’s wildest imagination. This faith in another person can create more profound change than any technique or method I have ever seen.
As a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), I work with individuals, couples, and organizations to improve relationships, and to increase levels of success and satisfaction.
My professional career has taken me through such diverse fields as public relations, public health, technical writing, journalism, event planning and child development. As the owner of a technology consulting firm specializing in the entertainment industry, I bring more than 16 years experience as a consultant and an entrepreneur to my business clients.
In the coaching field I serve on the faculty of the prestigious Coaches Training Institute, and I am Executive Coach for the Executive MBA Program of Loyola Marymount University. I am a certified Bigger Game coach/consultant, and a licensed Bigger Game workshop leader and certification program leader. Currently, I am serving as President-Elect of the Los Angeles Chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
I was awarded my CPCC coaching certification by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), which is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). I am a graduate of CTI’s Co-Active Leadership Program and the Organizational and Relationship Systems Coaching Program.
I passionately advocate for fulfillment, compassion for self and others, and the creative power of possibility.
