Experience
Born in the south suburbs of Chicago, I bring a deep caring and advocacy for healthy, thriving lives. I have experience in the arts, social work, am a survivor of a rare type of cancer, and a sister and cheerleader to a sibling with Down's Syndrome - a lesson in compassion and fighting for my sister's self-respect and independence.
I started my education on scholarship at DePaul University for classical piano performance before switching majors to psychology, one that supported my own quest for personal growth and development. Moving from the science of the mind to helping in action, I received my Masters degree from Loyola University Chicago's School of Social Work. My experience in social work ranges from working with emotionally-disturbed children who are wards of the state in a residential setting — to Jewish Orthodox families on the northside of Chicago helping children develop at the Virginia Frank Child Development Center.
Though social work matched my desire to provide service to my community, I knew in my heart it wasn't my true calling. When I made the decision to dedicate myself to being a great mom to my own daughter, I was led to the Wright Institute's Parenting Program. I watched my then 7-year-old daughter move from being shy and socially awkward to becoming a compassionate, playful, and talkative girl. I quickly found myself transforming more than my parenting - I reawakened my passion and talent for the piano and the determination I had when overcoming cancer. Since I have become a coach at the Wright Institute, I have since discovered many other gifts and talents I didn't know I had and have dedicated myself to becoming a fantastic coach helping others become their own advocate and create their best life possible.
I currently co-lead the Year of More program at the Wright Institute, lead a Goals Group and I regularly see students for individual coaching.
