Experience

My name is Josh Klapow. I'm a clinical psychologist and Associate Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am passionate about helping live the lives they have always envisioned..

In my years of practice I have seen countless examples of people who struggle with life change. The irony is that change is a life necessity and yet it can paralyze people. As destructive as some of our habits and routines are, they are at least familiar. As a result people get stuck. They are afraid to move forward and yet are miserable where they are at. The fascinating and liberating secret however, is that change comes down to understanding a set of skills. You CAN learn how to change and once you do, you can take better control over your life and move in the direction you want move.

I work extensively with television and radio outlets to get my message out. Learning how to change does not require an appointment with a psychologist. My books, videos, columns and articles all emphasize this point. There are fundamental change skills that any of us can learn. Learn them and you will have enormous control over your health, well-being and life.

I look forward to being a part of the Peoplejam community and to helping in any way I can.
