About Me

Things that make me happy include cooking and eating good, healthy food, meeting quality people, and celebrating life!!!.
When I'm not working, well, its hard for me to separate work from no-work. Work? I live. Some things are more enjoyable than others, but its life. :).
The thing I'd most like to change is the way young people view health. My goal is to become a resource, an advocate, and "consumer reports" filter for all the health and wellness information out there. Thru education we gain the power to make better choices.. Health is not something we should look upon as a burden. Healthy living needs to be embraced. Perfect Health may be unattainable, but Great Health is achievable!
The one other thing I'd like others to know about me is I am for real. Not perfect, but I genuinely want to shift the paradigm supporting conscious consumers, working and learning together towards happier and healthier lifestyles.

Keep an eye out for the release of my first book in a couple months!!

  • Doctor AS Teacher

    Forget the white coat, the prescription pads, and the attitude.  A doctor is meant to be a teacher, a guide, and a resource of information... helping a person attain and maintain balance in their health.  The "medicine man" of a tribe or community was held in high regard, but not necessarily for his medicines (even though they were natural and from the earth), but more for his knowledge.

  • If you had 15 minutes with a natural ...

    If you had 15 minutes with a natural health and lifestyle "expert", what would you ask them? Simple right? Don't think too long.. just ask what you want to know more about. ex: Is soy good or bad for me? Are vitamins really important to take?

Confessions

  • Not perfect, ..

    Although I know alot about diet, health, nutrition, vitamins, etc. I am not perfect. I don't obsess, or try to do everything right. I believe that perfect health is unattainable, but great health is achievable. With that, some imperfection is not only allowed, but expected and embraced. I make a good conscious effort. Sometimes more diligent, other times not. Positive mental attitude is probably as significant to how health your dinner may have been. So, I confess.. I am not perfect. I love food, people, travel, ...life as a whole.. too much to try to be perfect.
