Experience

What would it be like to be fully engaged in living the life you have always dreamed of? The life you “meant” to live? And how would it feel to know you have a dedicated partner in creating and maintaining this life…someone who is truly “all about you”?! As your Coach I will challenge you and champion you…push you and praise you and most of all help you to actually DO what you say you want to do! Accountability is the key to unlocking the limitless doors of possibility in your life.

I came into coaching as one of its first clients back in 1988. I was one of the first members of Actor’s Information Project (AIP) in New York City. It was an organization developed to support actors in the business part of “Show Business.” It’s founders were people like Henry Kimsey-House and Cynthia Loy-Darst, with fellow students in attendance like Rick Tamlyn. These names are inextricably linked to the world of coaching…they are among a few of the “founding fathers” of this work if you will. Henry Kimsey-House has since founded CTI (Coaches Training Institute) where he Cynthia and Rick count among the highly respected staff of teachers. I had the good fortune to be coached by Henry and Cynthia almost 20 years ago. Rick is coincidently one of my old college buddies and roommates in NYC. We became some of the first people to experience the incredible impact this work can have on human lives. In 1997 I hired my own personal life coach. She was one of Henry House’s first official trainees in the then newly developing “Co-active Coaching” model. I was again reminded of the amazing power and limitless possibility that the coach/client relationship offers.

I am an actress and a singer/songwriter and as such have also held down a mind-boggling array of jobs, in all walks of life, to support my creative habits. (Cop, cab-drive, professional house painter and tile layer, chamber maid, waitress, executive assistant, real estate agent, car sales girl, singing telegrams, courier and fitness trainer to name a few). My training as a professional actress and writer, as well as the training that comes along with the multitude of jobs I have had, has given me many of the skills I now use in my practice and that are a natural fit in the coaching world: Focused listening, intuition, clear communication, relating to all kinds of people, living in “the powerful questions” of who I am and who I am becoming and perhaps most importantly; the ability to “ dance in the moment” ( a CTI skill) with a client and with myself in the ongoing quest for, and creation of, a fulfilling and balanced life.

I have just completed the Core Curriculum with CTI (The Coach's Training Institute). I am also currently taking their Leadership Training which will be completed in April 2008. I will begin my certification with CTI In the fall of 2007.

The Coach/Client relationship has limitless possibilities and I can offer you that! If you are willing to get on the horse and grab the reigns, I am willing to hop on behind you with a crop and some yummy carrots and apples! GIDDEE YUP!!!!!
