Experience
I am consistently recognized by those working with me for two things: being a great person to have on your life team and once I hear your dreams and vision, I will follow you through to the end to make them happen. With over 20 years experience inspiring people to see possibilities and do the work it takes to live the lives they long for, I am thrilled to be on the Wright Institute team as the Director of Coaching and Training Development.
My education includes a B.S. in Biology and Psychology from St. Mary's College and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Systems and Substance Abuse from the University of Wisconsin. I worked as a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified alcohol and drug abuse counselor for many years before moving to the coaching model in the early 90's.
Touching the lives of individuals from my home base area of Chicago's south side, I help to start Jamal Place, a group home for 10-13 year-old boys and helped countless individuals recover from alcohol and other drug dependencies. I climbed the ranks in the business world too, consistently landing in the "Winner's Circle" as a top account manager for the international firm Ceridian Employee Assistance Program.
I have used my training with Bob Wright since 1993 and Judith Wright since 1999 to coach and train people individually, in groups, and on weekend trainings and workshops. I supervise staff coaches and lead new coaches through our coach training program.
Currently, I lead small groups and weekend trainings in most of the Wright Institute program areas: Relationships, Women, Singles, Parenting, Spirituality and Soft Addictions.
For fun, I test the limits of my body and beliefs by long-distance running along Lake Michigan. I am passionate about my husband Phil and when we aren't swing dancing, we love learning together as we facilitate workshops at the Wright Institute for couples and for singles who are dating toward marriage.
