C. Dale Walton

Dr. C. Dale Walton is a Lecturer in International Relations and Strategic Studies at the University of Reading in Reading, England. His second book, Geopolitics and the Great Powers in the Twenty-first Century, was published in 2007. This joins his first book, The Myth of Inevitable U.S. Defeat in Vietnam, published in 2002. Walton received his Ph.D. from the University of Hull, in England, where he was an H.B. Earhart Fellow; his M.S. from Missouri State University; and his B.A. (magna cum laude) from the University of New Mexico.

Prior to coming to the University of Reading in February 2007, Walton was an Assistant Professor at Missouri State University in the Defense and Strategic Studies Department, located in Fairfax, Virginia, from 2001 until early 2007. His research interests include strategic relationships and security problems in Asia, terrorism, geopolitics and the changing geostrategic environment, and U.S. military strategic history. He has published more than 25 book chapters, articles and reviews.
