I didn't want to read this book, but I needed to. I'm not the type of woman that likes to "submit to her man", but this book teaches you to do it in a way the brings results to both you and him FAST. I always thought I treated my man well, but this book really opened my eyes and actually pinpointed the cause of most of our arguments and heart ache. This book hasn't so much changed my life, but it has made me look at things an entirely different way and to be more compassionate and loving toward my husband and kids. I know a lot of women will be turned off by the title, and even by Dr. Laura herself and what they think she's all about. I think she's gotten a bad wrap from people who refuse to see all of her, but this book is essential for women to read if they have been affected by today's society and the way we have been taught to treat men. News flash - we do need them, and once we have them, we should respect and love them. And the real shocker is once we do, they will respect, love and completely cherish us in return.
This review was very helpful. I have started to read this book but figured I treat my husband so well that there was nothing I could learn from it but if someone else found something useful and they, too have a good marriage, then that tells me there is something in it for me and it's worth reading. Thanks for the review.
This review was great. I too have read the book and it was a real eye opener. I think you've captured the nature of the book and let readers know why they should read it too!
