This is one of those books you will come back to over and over, even after you get into a relationship. John Gray clearly outlines the way men perceive dating, compared to a woman's perceptions. Like myself, you may quickly realize you previously didn't have a clue! The tag line on the back says it best, "You don't have to be single forever..." My friends and I always quote our favorite insight: "level one for men is physical attraction", but women don't get to physical attraction until AFTER mental chemistry (level one for women) and emotional attraction (level two). I think the best advice he has for women is to think more about what you really want and let yourself receive it (or wait for it), which I've found to make a hugely positive impact on my romantic relationships. For me it clarified the fact that you can't always follow your first impulses in dating... it pays to learn more about how the opposite sex sees things, and to go slowly through all the stages of a relationship. Highly recommended read!
