Your Sacred Self by Wayne W. Dyer

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, whose previous titles-such as the bestselling Real Magic and Your Erroneous Zones-have touched the lives of millions, now teaches listeners how to tap into the power of their higher selves and live each of their days, regardless of what they are. doing, with a greater sense of peace and fulfillment.
Developing the sacred self, Dr. Dyer explains, brings an understanding of our place in the world and a sense of satisfaction in ourselves and others. In Your Sacred Self, Dr. Dyer offers a program that helps listeners establish a spirituallv-oriented, rather than an ego-oriented., approach to life. Step by step Dr. Dyer shows us how to progress from emotional awareness to psychological insight to spiritual alternatives in order to change our experience of life from the need to acquire to a sense of abundance; from a sense of one's self as sinful and inferior to a sense of one's self as divine; from a need to achieve and acquire to an awareness that detachment and letting go bring freedom.
Your Sacred Self is art inspiring, hopeful, illuminating guide that can help everyone live a happier, richer, more meaningful life.

I was truly done with self help books until I fell across this title. I am a Christian ... so I went into this looking for a spiritual read. That is what I found, albeit a different philosophy than I have but a brilliant look at things none the less.
I have always been open to others beliefs and feel we can learn from each other when it comes to the goodly "religions" or spiritual ways of living.
This book had brilliant insight into how you can correct the focus in your life and practical ways to improve your approach to living.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is at a crossroads and needs some self direction, as a Christian reader I have to add that I would also recommend some Christianity based books as well and then do some decision making.
At the end of the day Dr. Dyer manages to mingle the new age beliefs in with some very useful advice on becoming the you that you were meant to be. Well done!
