Silent Power by Stuart Wilde

Silent Power, like its bestselling predecessor Life Was Never Meant to be a Struggle, is a tiny book filled with practical advice on living more fully using your "silent power." Author Stuart Wilde claims that there is a silent power within you, an inner knowing that grows because you understand its infinity. Silent power teaches you hour by hour; it is with you this very minute! As you begin to trust your power, it can lead you step by step to the next person and place in your life.

This is what America needs! With so many ads, offers, ideas, people and choices, this book narrows the focus of what life is, and what it should and can be by a series of mental processes that can calm and bring out the best in you. I wouldn't say this book is for beginners! I do think he tried to stuff too many concepts and ideas into a small book, I think an expanded book would be a good idea...something goes into more depth, maybe more "proof"? This is one of my first books I read from Wilde, and he definitely will keep my waiting for the next one. Simple but excellent tactics for mental health as well as personal success, for that, its worth a lot more than the $10 I paid for it!

I devoured this mini book as quickly as I had grabbed it off my friend's desk. It's a quick read with an even quicker "rate of inspiration."

As a recovering cell-phone addict, I recently felt like going on a verbal communication fast. I simply got tired of talking and was delighted at a book that encouraged my hermetic state of mind.

Chapters include: "The Wisdom of Non-Action," "Inside the Nature-Self," and "Extrasensory Etheric Perception."

This book is not for the new-age novice nor is it for the seasoned cynic. It's for someone with an open, curious mind who inevitably gets exhausted by all the inner and outer noise pollution.

The only negative I can think of is that the chapters are too short and that the author only touches upon abstract concepts without thoroughly delving into their greater spiritual implications. Perhaps Mr. Wilde assumes that if you're truly seeking silence, then you must be past all that other "stuff" anyway.

Nevertheless, "Silent Power" is chocked full of interesting Jedi-mind-tricks that will make you wanna shut your mouth (for once) in favor of that still, small voice within that's barely audible in our multi-channeled, video-streaming world.

What a mouthful!
