When I was pregnant with our first and only child I thought it would be "cute" and "funny" to give this as a gift to my husband as the soon to be daddy. He didn't get it. Unlike the prior reviewer,he did NOT think it was funny at all. I don't even know if he read the whole thing, and it's a very short book. I read it and thought some of it was funny. I didn't think any of the advice they gave was useful and I kind of thought it was a bit derogatory toward pregnant women, but I was trying to give the author the benefit of the doubt and to show support to my hubby that I knew he was going through "stuff" too while I was pregnant. Apparently I shouldn't have because my husband was turned off immediately by the title and then the book itself. Not a winner in our camp.

I am so glad you pointed out in your review that this book seemed kind of derogatory towards pregnant women. I was going to get this for my brother, but he's already on the chauvinistic side so I don't want to encourage him. This is a time where men have to be extra supportive and sensitive to the pregnant woman's every need, not a time to laugh at their expense. Thanks for being honest in your review and not being afraid to express both the reactions of you and your husband.
