I bought this book for myself after flipping through it at Barnes and Noble. It caught my eye because it looks old-fashioned and it is a nice sturdy hardcover book.
The book has stories, instructions, projects and more. The reason I decided to buy it was because it has information about SPORTS. I admit, I have very little knowledge about sports. Since this book is geared towards young readers, it presents the sports information in terms that I can easily understand. Now I do not have to feel stupid when my husband watches football games.
This book would be great for a teenage girl. It even has instructions on how to change a tire. I wish I would have known how to change a tire myself when I was younger. It also has information about very important skills like instructions for giving CPR.
Some of the projects might require help from mom or dad (like building a scooter), but I think this book would be well received by any young lady you buy it for.
