There are a lot of obvious tips, like making eye contact, smiling and laughing at jokes. Some good advice here that is often overlooked is listening and asking questions. Asking your "target" questions about themselves shows that you're interested in them.

The book has a lot of pre-packaged one-liners to throw out, most of which are groan-inducing (and not as cute as the author thinks). A lot of the techniques are really aggressive, which might not necessarily be right up a shy girl's alley.

One thing that was fun was the quiz that gauges your flirt style. I don't know how accurate it is, but it's interesting. I'm not really sure who to recommend this to, but if you've got a little courage and a sense of humor, you might give it a shot.
