I have suffered from anxiety since I was five years old. It has haunted my life and made simple things hard to do. I've been on different medications and have always hated it. I never felt like myself while taking some pill that is supposed to "help" me live an anxiety free life.
Recently I started therapy for my anxiety and the first thing out of my mouth was "I don't want to be on any more pills." I wanted off of them.
I went looking for a therapist that didn't push drugs on people and was very lucky to find one.
My therapist recommended this book to me on my third session and I was willing to read it because I really didn't want to take anything anymore.
As I started reading the book I started to realize something. I could do this. I had everything that I needed to help to control my anxiety problem right there inside of me.
I would recommend this book to others that have fought anxiety in their life. It may not help everyone but I would at least read it.
Sounds like I should have tried to find this book a few years ago for a friend of mine who wanted off the pills also, but dealt with panic attacks. Thanks for the good review!
That is so awesome! It is truly so hard to find doctors who are not in the pockets of the prescription drug companies. I am so glad this book helped you and that it was suggested by a doctor gives me hope!
