I bought this book a few years ago along with the Writer's Market. It is a fairly basic guide to submitting manuscripts, children's stories, novels, newspaper articles, etc. It is fairly comprehensive, so it doesn't give a lot of great detail in any one particular field. Rather, it is a broad perspective of the whole field of publishing and writing. It is a bit difficult to follow, and there is a lot of information in it you won't need. It is a good place to start, though, if you are looking to break into the vast sea of writers out there, and gives decent tips for getting your manuscript or article noticed.
