The main theme inside this new book is the way our 'toxic' lifestyles can make us fat and how we can make some changes in order to be fit and healthy. She starts out by saying how she's there to save your life if you let her. She poses the question , "If you had to suddenly leave your comfort zone and run for your life, hoist your body out of a broken elevator, run after a child headed toward a busy street, or grab a tree limb to stop from falling, could you do it? Are you Fit to Live?" Your answer will either shock you to your core or make you proud. Not many might be able to answer yes. She talks about toxic belly fat .She suggests small changes in lifestyle that give you drastic results in the long run. This book is a straight-forward, easy to read guide to helping yourself create a well-balanced life. It's about transformation and progress, not perfection. This book is almost as good as a personal session with Dr. Peeke in the flesh. She is really as funny, honest, encouraging, visionary, and dedicated to making people's lives happier and healthier in print as she is in person. Her common sense and compassion are in every page. Dr. Peeke says that when you're ready for change, real transforming change, you need to own the process.
This book sounds very good. I have heard Pamela Peake speak in person but did not know she had written this book. I really like idea of small changes that create big results in the long run. Thanks so much!
Thanks for your review! I THOUGHT based on the title that this would be just another boring diet book. Based on your review it sounds like it is just the opposite! Sounds very interesting.
