After being in a very negative relationship, verbally and physically, I started reading self help books. One of the books happened to be Self-Esteem by Matthew McKay. What I received from this book was learning to love me, learning to respect me as well as it has taught me to speak up for myself and not be intimidated by others. My self-esteem after that relationship was below zero, however after reading this book I was able to gain confindence in me. I have now become a very positive motivated lady who knows I deserve respect at all times. Never again would I accept anyone calling me out of my name or physically abusing me.
