This is a good Dummies book. I don’t like all of them but this one is very informative and helpful. It gives a lot of insight into the disorder. It helps those individuals who have been diagnosed with this disorder and also the family and loved ones of the individual. The person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder continues not just to think about a catastrophic event but actually relives it on both a mental and physical level. The book aspires to help the victim cope with the flashbacks and nightmares that accompany PTSD. It also helps the victim to determine if they wish to be treated via medications and what medications are available and might be useful. The book is also designed for the family and loved ones to be able to provide help for the victim.

Clear, helpful review on what seems to be a good product. Accurate information is the key to dealing with and supporting others with disorders such as these. I believe this review gives others insight onto whether or not this book is appropriate for their needs.
