Problem solving is Dr. Joy Browne's business. Her syndicated radio and television programs have millions of listeners, but Browne solves their problems one caller at a time. In Getting Unstuck, she explains how you can utilize her personal eight-step problem-solving system. It isn't the size of the problem that matters; it's your resolve to quit being your own worst enemy and to start being your own best mentor and friend. This is good counsel that dispenses with psychobabble.
This book was pretty good. I think everything that was talked about was put in a simple form. Just like everything else, all your problems and problem solving steps aren't going to be cut to fit in a perfect mold. There were a lot of great ideas and has a lot of good points about turning to yourself to solve the problem and not expecting someone else to come along and make it all go away. I have also heard Dr. Browne's radio program and, again, a lot of good pointers, but not all problems and going to be able to be solved with 8 simple steps. I would suggest it to some people, but this book and her way isn't for everybody.
