Everyone wants to live the life they were born to live, right? Well for those that are looking for a book without the religious overtones, then this is a great one for you. If you can only read on, then this should be it and I am glad I picked it up. It is easy to read and manageable without being judgmental or overly complicated. The Arthur uses the life purpose system, every life has a destiny. I find that to be so true, although for me it is the hand of God that has chosen the purpose. I know that not everyone feel that God chooses you and that your life is already mapped out for you, for those I would recommend this book. The key to the Life-Purpose system is determining and interpreting birth numbers, unlocking a path to personal transformation. The 447 pages can be intimidating, but it is easily broken down into manageable subjects.

This book is like "the purpose driven life" without the religion. I whole heartedly believe there is a plan to people's lives, that there is such a thing as "fate" and destiny. I really love how he outlines that everyone's role is equally important and that even though some have flashier roles, or ones that make more money, your role is to be you and to be the best you, that you can be. Wow. What a statement. I think Abraham Lincoln was quoted as saying "whatever you are, be a good one." These ideas and time proven sound bites are what life change is built on. I really believe that if everyone could latch on to these ideas, let them take hold in their hearts, we could see revolution. Thats what gets me excited about these books and these thoughts, the idea that anyone, no matter how small or large can use this and grow from it.

Dan Millman's book, Life you were Born to Live, is an interesting guide to discovering more of your possible paths in life. By using his numerological system you are led to the corresponding life year information for your self. I was surprised to see how "on target" it was with my hopes, dreams, and secret desires. This is a great book to help you understand other folks in your life. I looked up the birth /life path info on my parents, my sister, and some of my friends. It was really insightful and they found it intriguing too. It's a fun tool.

This was the first book of Millman's that I read, and I think it's one of his best, even THE best. It looks at life through a matter-of-fact eye that is sincere and understandable.

Millman's perspective is that life is a process that should be broken down into more manageable processes that make life less overwhelming and stressful.

Millman takes you on a guided tour of yourself that can help you find your purpose in life. When you find out just what your purpose is, you may be surprised - I know I was! Millman covers all kinds of perspectives and possibilities. It's amazing how right he can be.

This is a great book by a very positive and thorough author.
