I was actually given this book, and even though I have very strong saving/financial skills, I still decided to read it. The book seemed like a large metaphor for saving money and managing your financial life, but I didn't see the correlation that was intended in the introduction. I suspect the book was written for those with poor financial skills, but even those people will probably have trouble figuring out what point the book is trying to make. Very off topic for my type of reading.

I knew when I picked this book up that it wasn't an ordinary finacial book. Instead, I was met with a somewhat long, drawn-out story that really left me feeling as if I missed the connection. The wit and wisdom displayed is unusal and it took me a second read to actually understand it. Still, because the negative I did find the story to be very insightful. In fact I pull a lot of my finacial doings from this book. That's not to say that I still understood the book. My brother, who is a finacial advisor, read this book a good 3 times before he even fully grasped the meaning. I just found the book a tad bit dull and boring for my taste.

The Richest Man In Babylon is not your typical financial self help book. It does not regurgitate the standards that many "get rich quick" or financial advise books dole out. The book does, however, give advise based on tried and true financial precepts in the form of interesting stories.

With many books under my belt on this subject, I feel this particular book stands apart from many because of the way the wisdom is dispensed. There are no pie charts or spreadsheets, no difficult to understand concepts or convoluted language. Just stories that, upon reading, open your eyes to simple to follow rules that anyone who wishes to grow their wealth should know. Rules of investment, credit, insurance, budgeting, and financial planning are all addressed in a way that is entertaining and fun.

I recommend this book to every person starting out and it should be required reading in schools. This book and its concepts would help anyone struggling to make ends meet, free themselves from the burden of debt. I typically lend this book to anyone interested and they all agree it was well worth the time to read it. It is one of those books that you can read in an afternoon but is good enough to read more than a couple of times.

For the value and price this is an excellent book. The words are easy to read versus the texts of most books.

Financial investments have been around for a very long time, all of humanity seeks to have security in where their money goes and how to ensure to have a secure future when they are no longer able to work or are at retirement age.

George Clason takes the reader back to Babylon with stories that give readers time tested tips. Just as no one answer is right for everyone, this book gives various insights that any reader can find the right financial tips for the most productive investments.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who is seriously seeking in today's world especially with our economy.
