Caroline Myss has once again taken a subject that many would have doubts about, and made it reasonably clear and plausible. Even for a beginning student of energy work, this book is clear and understandable. Caroline does an excellent job of laying the groundwork for energy healing by giving an overview of the energy centers in the body, the 7 chakras. These 7 energy centers are universally known as the heart of the energy of life, and understanding each one and it's corresponding relationship to energy and health in the body is a necessity if you want to understand or practice energy healing techniques.
Caroline goes on to explain the consequences of any of these energy centers being out of balance. You realize how the things around you, the situations around you, effect your own energy, and the result of energy centers that are not clear and fully charged.
This book is not a totally easy read, but worth the time and effort for the amazing amount of information it contains.

When Carolyn Myss wrote "Anatomy of the Spirit" in the late '90's, she put medical intuition and neurobiology squarely in the main stream of new age thinking. The really great thing about her book and her ideas is that NOW THE SCIENTIFIC WORLD HAS CAUGHT UP WITH CAROLYN and other mystics. Isn't it interesting how that happens? Now it's a very rare doctor/physicist who doesn't accept the premise that our thoughts/emotions make us sick. In fact, if you want more information, this widely accepted fact is addressed by noted neurobiologist,Dr. Candace Pert, in her ground breaking book "Molecules of Emotion." "Anatomy of the Spirit" is a thoughtful book which is a bit challenging to read. I enjoyed listening to the audio set while resting at home. It was well done and easy to absorb..an easier way to get through the information. For me, it helped to HEAR the spoken passages and made it simpler to grasp these new concepts. Even if you don't have any knowledge of chakras and are new to all of this information (medical intuition, energy medicine, Tree of Life, Kabbalah, chakra systems, etc.), you will be well versed by the end of the book. If you definitely want to have a new way of looking at your life and you want to expand the walls of your consciousness and belief systems, then this is a great place to start. Who knows? You might even up with an entirely new way of perceiving, BEing, and LIVING in the world.
