After reading "Maxine Yelling It Like It Is" and loving it SO much. I went back to my local library and checked out all the books they had on Maxine. This was one of them. Like her cards and novelties from Hallmark, this book is funny beyond belief. I did not enjoy it quite as much as the "Yelling" book, and I think that is just because it was more geared toward women this time around; however, it was still a hoot. I would definitely recommend this book as a gag gift for any woman over age 50 or even for a 40th birthday party! Its set up as a series of comics and has you chuckling to laughing out loud all the way through its pages. I read it in one day and my wife flipped through it over a week or so and she enjoyed it even more than I did. Its a great way to perk up, especially when its too cold outside to really do anything fun. Plus, if you can find it at a library, its free!
