This book is amazing. I love to eat. I love to cook. I love to eat what I cook and, unfortunately, what I cook is country cooking. :) At the same time, I do try to be mindful of what I am eat and my diet. This book makes it okay to eat the real food. In fact, the author encourages us to eat the things that were made years and years ago. One of the things that surprised me the most was that she eating a whole egg, not just the whites of the eggs. Another surprise was that she suggests fresh whole milk instead of skim, pasteurized or homogenized. The point of this book is that "real food" tastes better and if the foods are eaten properly and in moderation (along with regular exercise), there's no reason to not eat what you enjoy. HIGHLY recommended!

Another fantastic review. It is nice that there is actually a book out there that would encourage the kind of diet you're describing. I like to eat all those things you mentioned, but am hesitant because of all the harm I hear they do. I think moderation is key to any diet, so eating what I like is just a bonus.
