I used to be a runner but got away from it over the years when I lived in areas that were not conducive to running (or because I was just too lazy). However, last year, due a chance of location and job responsibilities, I realized that I had time to get back to a running routine. In the past, I had a small library of running books (including one of the "bibles" of running by the late Jim Fixx) but I wanted something more up-to-date. I decided to by Jeff Galloway's Book on Running, and I'm certainly glad I did. This book is extremely useful for beginners as well as those who are getting back into the sport after several years of taking it easy. This book provides lots of good information on training, shoes, warm-ups and even a chapter on women's running. If you can only buy one book for your running library, let Jeff Galloway's book take that place of honor. You won't be sorry.
I appreciated how you spoke about your own experiences in this review. I like how you explained what type of reader/runner would be interested in this book. I also enjoyed how you went into detail about what the book talks about.
