I became interested in this book when I was milking cows at my small farm. Although I was milking as many as three cows, I could not get enough milk to sell to everyone who wanted to buy it from me. I kept hearing about this book, so I decided to check it out.

I really enjoyed all the information included in this book. The first 150 pages or so were especially interesting to me, and I learned a lot from them. It would certainly make more sense to eat the way this book suggests, as it is closer to nature. However, in trying to find recipes I could use, the ingredients were things not easily found, and I was not committed to such complicated cooking, although I certainly knew many people who were.

I would recommend buying this book only to people who truly wanted to spend time making changes in their diet in a more detailed and complicated way. I might recommend borrowing the book first, either from a friend or the library, to see if it’s worth the investment for your family.
