There are many important bits of knowledge in this book for those who are interested in going raw, or people who just want to understand what this whole "raw thing" is about. I gave this book to my father, a true meat-and-potatoes kind of dude, and he was definitely enlightened about how many nutrients are lost when we cook our food. He has now begun to incorporate more raw foods into his diet, and to date he is about 40% raw. Even at 40% he has seen some of the great benefits of eating raw food.
