Everyday of my life, someone tells me that I'm too nice to people. And, they're right. I take a lot of people, and I have always had a lot of trouble saying no to someone. My husband thought that I should read this book, so he bought it for me. After reading this book, it taught me that I can't always say yes and let people take advantage of me. Granted, a lot of people were angry with me, because they were so used to taking advantage of me, they figured I'd continue to be a push-over for them. I feel like a better person, especially since now I know how to stand up for myself. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is in the same shoe that I was once in. It's insightful, and it'll change you for the best. No one has the right to make you feel inferior without your permission, always remember that.
That's a valuable personal insight. Thanks for being vulnerable; the best way to gauge a good book is how it changes us personally. I hope the lessons stick for you.
That's a really thoughtful gift. I don't think most people would bother giving something so thoughtful. I'm glad to hear it's helped, and I may have to check it out myself.
