After running across 'The Art of Manliness', I had to check it out for myself. I wanted a way to understand my husband better, and I found so much more. I referred it to my husband, and it's helped him figure himself out as well. This blog helps you understand men, altogether. I'm always reading something, and telling my husband, "Babe, you should check this out." I do it, mainly because it reminds me of something he's going through. After referring this blog to him, his life has changed so much. He used to let people walk all over him and mistreat me, in the process. Not anymore, though. He has put his foot down, and he finally stands up for himself. It's hard for men in the military to stand up for themselves, especially to your superiors. This blog has helped him find the confidence to do that. I couldn't have asked for anything better for the man taht means the world to me. Thank you!
When I first read your review, I was surprised to read the comment about the "men in the military". Typically you think of military guys as having no problem asserting themselves, but your example is one I never thought of. It must be stressful to voice your opinion to your superior officer and I could imagine coming home to "take it out" on your family members. I'm glad the blog has shown the two of you how to improve yourselves.
