I actually coupled this book with the use of aromatherapy, and it seemed to work pretty well. College/work life hit me hard so I instantly looked for some method of calming myself after each day. This book helped me to discover how to "mentally" calm myself. Physically calming myself was easy, just sprawl out on a bed! But for me, mentally calming myself was difficult because I found myself thinking of everything that went on during the day, everything I have to do for tomorrow, and sometimes what I have to do in the near future. This reading helps to calm you down, and I learned that you have to "prepare" for meditation just as much as actually carrying it out. Through the use of visualizations, you can visually calm your nerves and your spirit. The reading itself helps to calm you down almost as actually carrying out the activities!
I've always been interested in meditation and have been looking at TM and stuff like that, but it seems like so inside things. I'm glad that there's a beginner book to something like that. I just want to start small and it seems like this is how it is.
