This is a wonderful book and it really brought tears to my eyes. It made me realize how precious life was – in fact, after reading it I made sure to give everyone I loved a hug.
I think all of us have thought about the afterlife at one time or another, no matter what we may believe in. This book presents the idea that at the moment of our death, we meet five people that has affected our lives (or whose lives we have affected). I love this concept – it makes me feel like our lives aren’t exactly a waste and we all have a reason for being.
Albom is a great writer, no doubt. His stories and plots can be clichéd, though. Halfway through the book, I could already predict what was going to happen next. This, however, didn’t ruin the experience of reading this book for me. Albom uses such wonderful language when describing what’s happening and his words are inspirational. Even though I kind of guessed the ending I still love his inspirational words.

You're so right. Everyone has thought about the afterlife. I know I have. I can't help but wonder what will become of my loved ones and even myself. It's a mystery that will never be solved. I'm sad that you thought it was predictable though...

I agree. While I think the book was sort of predictable (I don't think you can write a book like this without the plotline following some standard format), I think Mtich Albom wrote it very well. It definitely make me think afterwards and better appreciate the people in my lives and those around us.

Totally agree with you, bought tears to my eyes as well. It was predictable at some parts but that was part of how the book was written, to keep you into it. I would recommend this as it will give you a new outlook on how you preceive the loved ones in your life.
