I feed my pets a raw meat diet because I believe it to be the healthiest option available. It never occurred to me that maybe I should be doing the same for myself until I found this book in the bookstore.
It's intriguing, to say the least. I like that it goes over the differences in nutrition between food fresh out of the field, food at a farmer's market, and food on the grocery store shelves. As there have been studies that prove these figures, I was glad that THE RAW FOOD DETOX DIET included the information. So many books just skip over that part.
The idea of subsisting solely on raw food is interesting, but just not for me. I'll cook my veggies, thank you, even if it does leach out most of the nutrition.
Did you mean that you were condisering raw meat for yourself, too? Does the book discuss this? I find it interesting to think about. Thanks for the review.
