I took a public speaking class in junior college, and this was one of our "recommended readings". Our teacher felt that worrying was the main reason people were bad a speaking in front of an audience and this book may help some to alleviate those fears.
I am not the worrying type, which I feel is the reason I didn't get a whole lot from the book. BUT, even I (the non-worrier) had a couple moments throughout the book when I thought "that's a good idea". Most concepts are very simple, but the ugly truth is that we don't practice them and this book tells us that we need to, and here's how.
I wouldn't recommend this book for someone looking for a "life-changing" moment, but for those just looking for some basic tips I think it's great.
Thanks for stating the helpfulness of the book for you - a "non-worrier"
I have to say - there are not that many people around who don't worry much. So you must be on the right track.
I am looking for some tips and encouragement and this sounds like a book that may be of some help in this area. Thanks for your input.
