After having weight loss surgery, I was eager to find all the cookbooks on the subject that I could possibly get my grubby little hands on. Of the two that I found in the bookstore, this one has been my favorite.
The great thing about this cookbook is the details--full color pictures on most of the recipes, and the serving sizes are VERY specific, which is important after weight loss surgery.
I've had this cookbook for a while, and my favorite dish is the chicken/broccoli casserole. It's seriously the best thing I've ever made. Even people not on diets like this stuff! Also, there are some great breakfast recipes. There's a stratta in there to die for. Only thing I can possibly gripe about is that there aren't many dessert recipes! The ones that are in there are pretty good, though.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone having weight loss surgery, it's really helpful and it helps you learn how to balance carbs vs. proteins.
I found this blog about weight loss after surgery to be very helpfull and to the point.I enjoyed this blog very much as it showed me things i would want to know if i had surgery to help me lose weight which i myself have thought of but i am dieting the best i can and eat healthy as well.
I would highly recommend this blog and this site to anyone to read if they needed any sorts of information about weightloss or any other topic.
Awesome review! I actually haven't found ANY cookbooks on post-op weight loss surgery, so I'm glad I found your review. Time to head to a website and buy it!
