I was given this book as a gift, and it's turned out to be a terrific motivator. Dr. Oz has a gift for explaining complex medical concepts to lay people, without talking down and with a large dose of humor.
This book demonstrates how a little knowledge can go a long way to motivating you to change habits. For example, his explanation of why central obesity ("belly fat") is so dangerous has really helped me to focus on getting my weight into an acceptable range.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to understand the "whys" behind diet and exercise advice.
Dr. Oz is awesome! I saw him on Oprah and was inspired to buy the book. It really is a life-style change! And it goes into explicit detail which at times can be pretty overwhelming, BUT I think it is important to know what really goes on in our bodies and why they react the way they do. This is an awesome eye-opening book!
