This book doesn't deserve the attention it got. Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus felt to me like it was all about pigeon-holing. Men absolutely feel one way, women another. Each need to be treated according to the stereotypes laid out here.
This really bothered me, mostly because I live in the real world. I've known tons of sensitive men that have no problems talking about their feeling, that are thoughtful. On the flip side, I've known plenty of women to be aggressive and loathe to get "touchy feely".
This books assumes that every man and woman fits a cookie cutter mold. It certainly doesn't take into consideration this female reader that loves Jet Li movies and hates cliched long stem roses.
There are some people who used to swear by this, but most that I know moved on to something else. This is just to black and white, with no room for variety.
