Ab and core exercises can be difficult, even uncomfortable, especially on the floor! An exercise ball provides a much more comfortable way to do these exercises. I bought my first exercise ball while doing physical therapy after a total hip replacement. Unfortunately the first ball I purchased would deflate overnight, had a stiff feel, and was slippery on a carpeted floor. I replaced that original with a Thera-band ball - what a difference! The Thera-band ball remains inflated (after more than a year of daily use I've only had to add air once), has a soft feel (it's much more comfortable), and doesn't slip on carpet (resulting in a much more stable feel - a big plus). I've been using the Thera-ball for almost 18 months on a daily basis and it still looks like new. I highly recommend this product to anyone doing ab and core exercises.
i have used theraband balls before, and i can identify with you saying your old ball deflated in what seemed like overnight. therabands do not! i didnt even know this book was out there. now that i do, and i have read your review, i will go out and get it. i am always looking into other exercises to do on the theraband ball besides the traditional ab work.
Good review of Thera-band ball. I have been using the Thera-band ball for over 6 months now and it's just great. I complete agree with you with the facts that the Thera-band ball just remains inflated, has a soft feel and doesn't slip. I guess they are the best bang for the buck. I too would definitely recommend this product to anyone without a hint of doubt.
Thanks for your review. I'm glad that you reviewed it after using for a long time and it makes me feel good about the fact that it's going to last a long time. I'm still looking for an exercise ball to use, but I will now definitely consider Theraband balls.
